I went out earlier today, with Ayalah, to see one of the foreign language Oscar nominees, "The Class." When I got home, I told Lilly all about it.Snug was interested and a bit jealous of how much fun I had, so we decided to go to see "Slumdog Millionaire" next Thursday with Noah. It'll be Lilly's first outing to the movies.
The first film that I saw in the theater was Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." What was yours?
My first film was "Bambi". When they shot Bambi's mother, I started screaming and had to be carried from the theater.
ReplyDeleteLater, I begged to go back and see the movie again. My mother, figuring I now knew what was coming, took me. When they shot Bambi's mother, guess who started screaming and had to be carried from the theater.

ReplyDeleteI don't remember the first, but I have a clear memory of going across the street to Meghan Wilhelm's birthday party and they had rented The Lorax, and gotten a genuine film projector, with the spinning reels that went clackety-tickety and the room was dark and the film played high on the wall with the giant swaying truffula trees. It was pretty much the most glamorous thing I'd ever seen, but not as glamorous as this recent beautiful picture of Lilly, and not holding a candle to her French star-of-the-screen of some days back, which I hope is the personality she's planning to take to Slumdog Millionaire...
