Date morning

Before her date with Sami on Sunday morning, we all went to Starbucks to have a drink and read the paper.  Hm ... all of the newspapers were taken. 

(Note: Lillian and Sami went to see "The Little Mermaid" at Solar Stage and then had burritos at Bar Burrito)

Water BFF

On Emilia's patio, there is an 8 foot tall chalk board.  The girls love to wipe it clean a lot more that to write on it.

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day, we built an icosahedron out of newspapers and masking tape.  Lillian loved it.  Then, we turned it into a "harp" and Lillian pretended to be Joanna Newsom.

Friday night

Yesterday we saw "Madagascar 3" and then raced cars in the movie arcade.

Lychee

Soon, we'll be starting a new series of entries where Lillian will be rating the food she eats.  Today, lychee got thumbs up.

Foodie

This is the face of someone who loves to eat mussels.

In downtown Toronto, at the Umbra store, there are hammocks outside for testing.  Lillian pirouetted on the light blue one yesterday.

Keeping a journal

This morning, Lillian was telling me that queens use quills to write in their journals.  Being a queen herself, she found a feather and was using it to record everything she saw on our stroll to the daycare.

 We took the ferry to Center Island today.

Transit of Venus

Today was a once in a lifetime event: the transit of Venus.  We went to the Science Center to look at the sun through special glasses and telescopes.  Many families came to experience this.

The next time that we expect this to happen is 105 years from now.  (This is my photo of the sun through the transit glasses).

 It was hard to tell how big of an impression this made on Lillian.  I, on the other hand, thought that it was AWESOME!

We know people who know people

A couple of weekends ago, we had the pleasure and the privilege to eat brunch at our apartment with Peter Gourevitch.  It turned out that he and Lillian both love to wear light purple.

The Cinderella Game

I really enjoy playing Cinderella with Lillian - she pretends to help with dinner preparations enthusiastically and with much care and concentration.

Bibi is visiting today and she brought Lillian a new Queen Cinderella dress.
