losing with dignity

Latham and Lillian also had a tower building competition for the tallest tower.  Latham won.  It was comforting to see that the adults were still on top of their game.

This weekend we were back at the AGO.  Latham and I built this cage for Lillian and she called it her Queen Cinderella Mermaid home.

Lillian also did some interviews for E! Canada! Kids!

Red carpet arrival

At her first red carpet appearance, Lillian wore a vintage Yevzlin dress, skirt and shoes from J. & N. Mer, and a flower crown.

Red carpet ready

Last week, Lillian posed in the park before we went to the red carpet event at TIFF Kids Film Festival.

Once more at the AGO

We went to the AGO on Sunday as well. There is a climbing/drawing area there. Lillian loved the rolling chair way up high.

AKA

When Lillian plays dress-up, she now wants to be known as "Mother Queen Cinderella Mermaid of [insert place where we are]". For example, tonight in the bath she was "Mother Queen Cinderella Mermaid of the bath tub" and earlier in the day she was "Mother Queen Cinderella Mermaid of the doll house."

King and Queen

Even Osik really got into the dress-up game with Lillian.

Moore hugs

One of Lillian's favorite public art pieces is a sculpture by Henry Moore at the corner of Dundas and McCaul.

International repast

On Saturday evening we went to Trinity Bellwoods Park where we enjoyed a picnic of fish and chips from Chippy's and macaroons from Nadege.

Biggest sand-box in the world

The skating rink at the Nathan Phillips Square is now filled with sand. It is a total joy to be able to play in the biggest sand box in the world.

Showing off

Nana and Osik came to visit over the weekend. Lilllian showed them her favorite monkey-bars at the City Hall playground.

Double stroller

Lillian and Emilia shared a "carriage" on the way to lunch.

Re-discovering the AGO

We met-up with Emilia at the new kids creative center at the AGO. Lillian used the dramatic center's costumes to dress up as a "queen of shades".

Weekend activities ...in many parts

We kicked off our Easter/Passover weekend with a visit to Starbucks. Lillian's favorite animal these days is the elephant. She is also really into the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems. Thus, with our morning drinks and cookie we read "I Broke My Trunk".
