Woods Hole

We were in Cape Cod from June 14th to June 22nd.
Here a few pics from our wonderful trip.

First, we stopped at a Shaker Village and explored pastures.

Yesterday at Emilia's

A HUGE playdate at Emilia's house yesterday.
Four 4-year-olds played "Dragon".  Two boys and two girls.
A conversation overheard:
GREYSON: The dragon is coming.... We can't let him in!!
EMILIA: I am going to be a knight and this is my sword [picks up chop stick and waves it around].
HADDON: I am going to be a knight too and this is my sword [picks up toy knife].
LILLIAN: I am going to be a princess [picks up a pipe-cleaner] and this is my flower.

Great afternoon ...

Our play-date with Emilia was fantastic!!!

First, we went to a flower shop to get plants for Emilia's garden.  The theme was "pink and white."

After a snack of home-made lemon-poppy seed loaf and a wardrobe change, the newly purchased flowers were planted.

A few critters had to be sacrificed for science and delight.  (Lill is holding a wiggly worm)

A trek through the backyard jungle revealed a plant that bled orange goo when leaves and flowers were ripped off it.

Following a chicken and mayo lunch, the girls got kinder egg treats and made ice jewels.
(Matilda was quite jealous of JK dexterity with food coloring)

Totally exhausted and back in her Rapunzel dress, Lillian and I started for home.

Good morning ...

We are going to an all day play-date with Lill's BFF, Emilia, in about 10 minutes.  But before we depart, Lill is just putting on the final touches to her Rapunzel outfit.  Beautiful!
