At the Evergreen Brickworks

We spent this weekend at the Evergreen Brickworks: taking a cooking class, building a fire, hiking, drawing funny faces with charcoal, and watering plants.

This weekend we went to the Textile Museum of Canada (which turns out to be only about two blocks from our apartment).  When Lillian saw this outfit, she wanted me to take a photo of it right away so that I would remember to buy it for her later.

At the museum, we made patterns with hooks, bands, and beads.

We saw the Marimekko show and posed by some of the patterns.

We were also able to weave our own patterns there.

That is, Lillian painted our faces.

Lillian made Treeia in one of her clubs, and she found Stickia near Branksome.

Lill loved getting her face painted so much
that we did it again today.

       

Totally awesome day today

Lillian and her friend Elyse, went to the Kids Toronto Film Festival today.  They saw 10 short films and played in the digiPlaySpace (green screen and facepainting). 
Afterward we went swimming.  Best day ever!

Last weekend, we celebrated Sienne's birthday with a craft party and a fashion show.  Here are all the models who participated in the runway show.

We took Lill to a climbing gym - and she loved it.

This weekend, Lill and I found a new favorite place to have a snack - SLICED.

Crafty Hands

Lillian is in five after-school clubs this quarter.  On Thursdays, she has "Crafty Hands."  She made this plant for me.
