Thank you, Bibi, for getting this wonderful seal plushie for Lill.  Lillian has named the seal, Lilly - they are sisters.

Crabiologist

While in Woods Hole, Lillian collected desiccated crab exoskeletons, cleaned them (with my toothbrush), and then made scientific illustrations of them.  She called herself a "crabiologist."  Only later did we find out that the actual term for someone who studies crustaceans is MALACOSTRACOLOGIST.

On the way to the Woods Hole Aquarium, Lillian found what she believed to be a mermaid grave.  Here she is explaining to Grandpa Jim that at midnight a skeleton hand comes up and will grab onto anyone nearby.

In preparation for our trip to Cape Cod, Lillian acquired a pirate outfit: bandana, eye-patch, earring, cutlass ...

Lill wore her pirate outfit when we picked up Latham from work - that's her in front of his office in Perimeter.

Last day of school (part 1 - before school)

Today is the last day of SK.  And it's also crazy hair day.  Lillian wore giant pipecleaners in her hair.

This morning she posed for photos with her teachers: Ms. Seymour and Ms. Manikas.




 

She also showed me her new tricks on the spider web.

Second recital

Lillian had a second piano recital this past Sunday at a church near her school.  She learned two new songs for the recital.

Yesterday, while grocery shopping, we became curious about the taste of sugar cane.  So, we bought one.  Now we know.
