Grandma says, "Zits."

When I came to pick up Lillian from school today, she showed me this picture that she drew in Aftercare. Here's what the talking bubbles say:
GRANDMA: Zits
ME: Zits

So, the word "zits" sounds pretty close to the Russian word, "zayats," which meas "rabbit."

This is supposed to be a picture of Nana saying "rabbit" in Russian to Lillian, and Lillian saying it back.

Helping Anna and Peter

We didn't really help Anna and Peter when they moved into their new place. However, Lillian did help donate their old clothes to The Salvation Army.

our thoughts are with Aija

Aija's grandfather passed away this Monday. Aija's family celebrated his life by inviting family and close friends to decorate Easter eggs. We were honored to be invited.

Our thoughts are with Aija and her family.

"Accidental Magic"

Every year, the second graders at Branksome write and perform a musical with the help of a local composer, Dean Burry.

This year's musical was called, "Accidental Magic," and was about pesky kids who find a wand and turn swans into dragons.

Lillian was Wizard #3, who saved the day!
